If ever there were a group of musician, composers/performers that were meant to be together
these guys are the ones. Let’s start with Phil and Tony who were performing in early grade
school, where Phil sang the national anthem and tony did the announcements over the PA.
They jumped into music in high school and had their first album release in 1976. Then you
can add Burt who’s high school band in North Carolina was “The Sands of Time”. At the exact
same time, Tony’s band in Miami was “The Sans of Tyme”. You just can’t make this up! Phil
and Burt are prolific song writers who have written a large library of work from which Acoustic
Therapy draws. Tony, who has written a few tunes himself, has owned a production company
with studios his entire career. Tony who has performed professionally since age 12 with his
primary genres being R&B, Blues, Funk and acoustic song driven ensembles. Burt has also
performed since childhood has some similar roots with a good bit of country thrown in. He
has released two albums of originals with rock, gospel and modern country songs that tell
stories of life in the south, romance and the lessons learned A third is in production with, you
guessed it, Tony as his production engineer. Phil has drawn from the acoustic troubadour
tradition (Paul Simon, Van Morrison, CS&N) to develop his own troubadour style. Lyric driven
with stories about how life transforms and inspires, observations on love and relationships all
delivered with a sense of wonder, longing, elation and of course humor. Together they
perform the best of their own compositions and cover the Acoustic Rock Songbook. They
never fail to ignite an audience and create an atmosphere where artist and audience connect
through the music.
